Background


A leading provider of senior care, Home Instead wanted to broaden the pool of care giver applicants in order to meet their needs as a fast growing business. The target market was people who may never have considered being a carer as an option. To attract the right type of people the campaign website had to address any false perception that people may have of being a carer and to promote Home Instead's ethos and company values.

Challenge

The challenge around recruiting for carers of the elderly is in changing peoples perceptions around the care giving. A second challenge was to appeal to people from a customer facing background who may never have realized their aptitude for care giving and to get them to engage with the job opportunities.

The solution had to work equally well for all Home Instead locations, each one a franchise responsible for their own recruitment needs.

Solution

Our solution for a microsite looked great, and more than that, under the bonnet was a custom built engine that delivered a great user experience.

One of the most user friendly features was the advanced office search that took a users location from their browser or device and returned the closest matching office locations to them in just one click. We built the portal on a custom Laravel CMS, taking advantage of its optimization and caching features to deliver lightning fast response times even under heavy user loads.
